    This Privacy Policy describes how Checkwork LLC ("Checkwork," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you visit checkwork.co, contact us, or use our marketing services (the "Services"). It also tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you. By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

    This Policy includes disclosures required under California law (CCPA/CPRA) and other applicable state privacy laws.

    • We share it with service providers (GoHighLevel, Google) and as required by law.
    • We do NOT sell personal information for money.
    • We DO share certain information with advertising partners for behavioral advertising — you can opt out anytime.
    • You have rights to access, correct, delete, and limit use of your information. See Section 10 to exercise them.

    2. Mobile Communication Policy

    When you provide your mobile number, you consent to receive SMS messages related to our services, including notifications and account communications. Your mobile opt-in will NOT be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

    • Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time.
    • Help: Reply HELP for support.
    • Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us.
    • Cost: Standard message and data rates apply per your carrier’s terms.

    Phone numbers are only processed by our SMS service provider (GoHighLevel) to deliver messages you have consented to receive.

    3. Information we collect

    • Identifiers: Name, email, phone number, address, IP address, business name
    • Commercial information: Services purchased, billing history
    • Financial information: Payment card info (processed by Stripe), billing address
    • Internet activity: Pages visited, links clicked, time on site, device/browser data
    • Geolocation (approximate): City and state derived from IP address — no precise location collected
    • Professional information: Business type, industry, business size
    • Inferences: Profiles built to assess fit for our Services
    • Sensitive personal information: Account login credentials, payment card info

    We do NOT knowingly collect: precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, health data, biometric data, or information from children under 16.

    4. Where We Get Your Information

    • Directly from you — when you fill out a form, book a call, or contact us.
    • From your device — through cookies and tracking technologies on checkwork.co.
    • From advertising partners — Meta, Google, and similar platforms.
    • From service providers — including GoHighLevel (CRM) and Stripe (payments).
    • From publicly available sources — business directories and public records.

    5. How We Use Your Information

    • Provide and operate the Services — account setup, billing, and customer support.
    • Sales and marketing — respond to inquiries, follow up on leads, send promotional messages (where consented).
    • Analytics and improvement — understand how the site is used and improve our Services.
    • Advertising — measure ad performance and retarget visitors. This is “sharing” under California law. See Section 7.
    • Security and fraud prevention — detect and prevent unauthorized activity.
    • Legal compliance — comply with applicable laws, court orders, and regulatory requirements.
    • Business operations — recordkeeping, accounting, and corporate transactions.

    6. How We Share Your Information

    • Service providers (GoHighLevel, Stripe, email/SMS providers)
    • Advertising partners (Meta, Google)

    Purpose:

    • To deliver the Services under written contract
    • To deliver and measure advertising — treated as “sharing” under California law
    • For legal, accounting, and compliance purposes
    • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
    • When required by law, subpoena, or court order

    7. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

    We do not sell personal information for money.

    We DO share the following categories with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising (treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under California and other state privacy laws):

    • Identifiers (e.g., online identifiers, IP address)
    • Internet activity (e.g., pages visited, ads clicked)
    • Inferences

    You can opt out of this sharing at any time by emailing privacy@checkwork.co with the subject line “Opt Out of Sale/Sharing.” We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals automatically.

    We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

    8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

    We use cookies and similar technologies on checkwork.co to:

    • Keep you logged in and remember preferences (essential).
    • Measure traffic and performance (analytics — Google Analytics).
    • Deliver and measure advertising (Meta Pixel, Google Ads).

    You can manage cookies through your browser settings or by emailing us to opt out of advertising-related tracking.

    9. Data Retention

    • Data Type: Customer account records. Retention: While active, and until you request deletion
    • Data Type: Marketing leads. Retention: Until you opt out or request deletion
    • Data Type: Billing and tax records. Retention: At least 7 years (required by law)
    • Data Type: Website analytics. Retention: Up to 26 months
    • Data Type: Cookies. Retention: Session-only or up to 13 months, depending on type

    You may request deletion at any time (see Section 10). After deletion, we may retain limited information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud.

    Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights:

    • Right to opt out of sale/sharing
    • Right to non-discrimination
    • Right to appeal

    How to Exercise Your Rights

    Email us at privacy@checkwork.co with subject line “Privacy Request.”

    We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. The first request in any 12-month period is free.

    We may ask you to verify your identity by confirming details we have on file.

    11. California-Specific Disclosures (CCPA/CPRA)

    In the past 12 months, we have:

    • Collected the categories of personal information listed in Section 3.
    • Disclosed for a business purpose to service providers and advisors.
    • Shared for cross-context behavioral advertising (see Section 7).
    • NOT sold personal information for monetary consideration.
    • NOT knowingly collected or sold personal information of consumers under 16.

    California residents may also request information about disclosures made for direct marketing purposes under California’s “Shine the Light” law by emailing privacy@checkwork.co.

    12. Children’s Privacy

    The Services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 16, contact hello@checkwork.co and we will delete it.

    13. Data Security

    We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    14. Third-Party Links

    Our website may contain links to third-party websites. This Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

    15. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. We will update this Policy at least once every 12 months.
